Super URL efficiency?

Has anyone had proven results with the Super URL?

I feel like this is an overly simply approach that would be extremely easy to abuse, and in effect causing Amazon to not put much weight, if any into it?

I know google has a similar string in it's google results that you could hypothetically run the same kind of system on, but I feel like it's so easily catchable.. especially if the search term being inserted in is the entry page which would render it useless.

Just my thoughts on this tool and curious if anyone had any quantifiable results.
